As humans, it’s interesting to take a step back and think about how things have changed over time ranging from the old school Blockbuster days renting VHS tapes to video content now available online at the click of a button. And today, the world is a different place due to social media.

From global conflicts being driven by social media to Fortune 500 companies relying on social data to make critical decisions in the moment, it feels like we’re living in a Sci-Fi movie and this is only the beginning.

We noticed this trend early on, which helped us secure a utility patent on our social media deep learning ecosystem, and it also led to new opportunities in the legal space by identifying the need for accurate insights as well as experts to back them up if things progress.

Fast-forward, our Founder/CEO has been a social media expert witness in a variety of cases – a highly publicized issue around Instagram posts and schools, helping a mainstream news outlet navigate a $200M+ claim, etc. – and we see how the need for social media expert witnesses will continue to rise over time.

The moral of the story is that social media is here to stay and will play a key role in the legal space, particularly when it comes to discovery and litigation, and if firms want to win they need to put their best foot forward.
